Sandy Martin is the Director of Jericho Road Roxbury. She is based at the Unitarian Universalist Urban Ministry, which runs a host of programs supporting Roxbury. Sandy has devoted her entire professional life to working in nonprofits, primarily in youth development and on women’s issues, along with other progressive causes. From 2000 to 2010, she was Coordinator for the South End/Lower Roxbury Youth Workers’ Alliance, a coalition of youth work professionals building neighborhood-wide supports for youth. Sandy has done consulting with other community coalitions, and has extensive experience with community-based nonprofits. She has been the long-term foster mother of two teenage girls, and she is also engaged in the visual arts.
